HISTORY OF MT. GRETNA SUMMER CONCERTS

Larry McKenna started the Mt. Gretna Summer Concerts series in 2017.  Its original title was "Larry McKenna's New Voices Cabaret in Mt. Gretna."  The season consisted of 4 Saturday shows: 1) "Great Girl Songs of the 60's" featuring the Girls of Summer, 2) Stars of Philadelphia's New Voices Cabaret," 3) "Sinatra: Our Way" featuring Chuck Shea, Steve Bauer, & Larry McKenna, 4) Parrothead Party: the Music of Jimmy Buffett.  In addition, there were 7 Tuesday night cabarets featuring three top singers from the Philadelphia, New Jersey, & New York areas. 

The next year, the title was changed to "Larry McKenna's Mt. Gretna Summer Concerts" and all shows were held on Saturday nights.  The sponsor for the five years was Your Financial Community in Palmyra, PA thanks to Jim & Laurie Sprecher.

The 2020 season was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.  The concert series resumed in 2021.  We lost our sponsor at the end of the 2022 season.  However, the series continued thanks to the generosity of our donors.  Mt. Gretna Summer Concerts, Inc. is now a NON-PROFIT organization.  Below you will find our schedules from the various seasons.
